Kuka was a simple girl who lived with her grandmother in a small village near Moscow.
The life of Kuka was different from the other children. She was raised in poor conditions. Kuka had been abandoned by her parents, because she was unwanted. At her age of six, she was taken care by her grandmother and also the house. Kuka didn’t go to school, but she was an intelligent girl. She had learnt a lot of things from her granny. Kuka didn’t have friends, but she had just one doll that she found near the rubbish and a dog, which was abandoned like Kuka had been.
After a long time, the neighbours felt something strange, they were asking each other:” what happened to Kuka’s granny? Where is she?” They were worried and preoccupied about Kuka:” Why is she always walking alone without her granny? One of the neighbours called the police. They started to investigate the case of Kuka. The policeman broke the door down and found a poor little girl crying and scared with her doll in her arms. Kuka was scared because her granny “doesn’t want to speak with me anymore” she said. The poor child didn’t understand what had happened with her grandmother, she doesn’t understand that she had died. Of course Kuka was taken to the orphanage, because now she didn’t have her granny, who was her own family and the house, where she lived.
After two weeks a woman appeared, who didn’t had children and wanted to adopt one. When she entered the children’s room, she saw a little girl with big blue eyes… it was Kuka with her doll in her arms. Mrs. Maria tried to speak with Kuka. The girl started crying and asked her:” You want to be my mum?” For Mrs. Maria it was the most beautiful moment in her life, now she would have a daughter.
From that day a Kuka’s life has gone through a radical change. She will have a real family, she will start to go to school like the other children and the most important is that now Kuka has a house.
